Programs & Services
Strength and Conditioning Classes
All of the PACE strength and conditioning programs are based on peer reviewed research that validate certain types of strength and conditioning programs and methods for athletes. A comprehensive strength and conditioning program needs to compliment the athletes sport, training volumes and time during the season or off-season. See the description of our Summer Strength and Conditioning Program for Mid-Long Distance Runners for an example of one of our sport specific programs.
Different Strength and Conditioning programs are offered throughout the year, so keep and eye on the News/Events page to stay up to date on the programs that are being offered. If you would like updates on Strength and Conditioning programs, send us an email with your name, sport and level of competition and we will notify you when a program is being created that may compliment your training.
We also offer some general strength and conditioning programs for endurance athletes year-round. Email us at pace@taiweb.com for more information regarding general strength and conditioning programs for endurance athletes.
Baseball Specific Conditioning and Skill Training
As a former collegiate football athlete at Penn State University and current physical therapist and strength and conditioning expert at PACE, David McHenry is well equipped to train professional and amateur athletes for functional and sports specific movements. David was approached by seven professional baseball players and has been providing them with off-season strength and conditioning since 2006. These individuals currently work for various organizations - the Washington Nationals, the San Francisco Giants, the Chicago Cubs, the Houston Astros, the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Florida Marlins, and other independent professional clubs. These professionals in turn provide amateur athletes with various training opportunities. Baseball specific strength and conditioning classes are conducted in the PACE Gym by both David and his posse of ballplayers, who also conduct skill specific training sessions for both pitchers looking to improve their pitching mechanics and for position players aspiring to develop their swings. For more information visit the player bios or contact PACE at pace@taiweb.com. Also view the video links below to get a taste of the actual services available.
